Three years ago, I released “The Passenger,” the first single for an album that I knew would eventually come to be. It’s a song about road trips with loved ones. I grew up on road trips, so they hold a special place for me.

It will be just one of the tracks found on my upcoming 16-track, full-length album, “The Days,” which will be released on October 15th.

I originally released a music video for this song, filmed by Daelan Wood and featuring Josh Mckenney. Now, three years later, I have just the performance footage available on YouTube.

Three years, wow. I’m excited to finally get this album out into the world! Stay tuned!

I am SO EXCITED to announce that I have a 16-track, full-length album coming out on OCTOBER 15TH!

You might have noticed that over the past few years, I’ve been sprinkling out singles here and there. Well, they’ve all been a part of a bigger project that is finally ready to be released on a full-length album titled, “The Days”.

The album has a theme, which is nostalgia. These are songs about my upbringing, memories, and personal experiences throughout my life. It’s a mix of stripped down folky songs to more layered compositions.

The album will include all of the singles I’ve released over the past three years, along with new tracks you haven’t heard yet.

16 songs, years of memories, and a whole lot of nostalgia. I’m so excited for you all to finally hear it.

A documentary that I recorded audio and music for is premiering at the Edmonton International Film Festival on Sept 27th. It’s called “Little Observers” and is a film about JAM Bottle Cap Art and his journey in using bottle caps to make art.

Filmed by Daelan Wood and Quinn Wood. It’s a really great piece of work and we’re all proud with how it turned out.

It was very cool to see the diy music video that I made for “1995” on the big screen at THE PLAZA THEATRE in Calgary yesterday for the Indie Film Throwdown! 🎉

Last week I played a cozy, intimate show at Trident Booksellers & Cafe with Francesca Mae & The Dusty Halos, and it was such a lovely experience. It’s been my first time in Halifax, and I’ve loved every minute of it. The arts scene here is so vibrant, and the people have been incredibly welcoming.

Recently, I’ve learned that the arts funding in Nova Scotia is being cut back by 30%. I’m not trying to make this post political, but after spending time here, it’s hard not to think about how important that funding is. The arts are what draw people in. They create community, give artists a place to share their work, bring people together, and make a city feel alive.

I’m really grateful I got to experience a small part of that while I was here. ❤️

What’s more 90s than a diy music video? Nothing, the answer is nothing. So, here is a diy music video I made for the song “1995” feat. Ellie Heath which was a lot harder than I thought it would be.

Was it time consuming? Yes.

Did I run out of ink from almost every sharpie multiple times during the making of this video? Yes.

Would 12 year old Nathaniel think this is the coolest thing ever? Probably not.

But! That’s the magic of a diy music video, you don’t make it because it’s cool, you make it because you had a weird idea you couldn’t stop thinking about and so you just do it.
