A very happy miniaturist at the summer opening party. I got to see people interact with the room and hear what they thought about it, which is the ultimate thrill. I am grateful that trusted my vision and gave me the opportunity to deliver on my most ambitious work to date. Go see it in person, if you can, and see the rest of the house - it is well worth the visit!

This progress shot of the Lougheed House project is VERY satisfying for me. The most proper lighting I have ever done on a project.

It is such a good feeling when projects start to come together like this. Such small details start adding up exponentially! And so many more details to come. Truly having a blast with this project right now though.

After/before finish on the curiousity cabinet, and a look at the reference image. Curved glass front was very tricky! Maybe a few tweaks to make but I’m pretty happy with the outcome :) there do appear to be some figurative paintings on the bottom of the original cabinet. I’m torn on including them or keeping it simple with this cabinet, or if I risk the finish which looks pretty good. Opinions?

I get such a kick out of pictures like this… project is starting to shape up a bit. Lighting really makes or breaks the illusion, hoping to get it right!
