That’s a wrap on the CALEP Conference in Edmonton!

One of the best parts of this industry has always been the people behind it. Thanks to CALEP for bringing everyone together and putting on another great conference.

We’re heading home with some new ideas, new connections, and plenty of good conversations to continue.

Today, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we are recognizing the children who never returned home from residential schools, survivors, their families and communities, and the lasting impacts of the residential school system. 🧡

September 2026 also marks 150 years since Treaty 6 was first signed in 1876. Treaty 6 covers a significant area of present-day Alberta and Saskatchewan, including many of the lands and communities where we and our clients work.

For BRITT RADIUS, understanding this history is important to the work we do. Land, energy and infrastructure projects often involve Indigenous Nations and communities, where Treaty and Indigenous rights, traditional land use, and community interests are important considerations. Meaningful engagement starts with understanding the communities connected to the land, listening to their interests and concerns, and building relationships throughout the life of a project.

A long weekend well earned.

This Labour Day, we’re taking a moment to recognize the people behind the work - in the field, the office, on project sites and in the communities where we work.

A little rodeo, a little pancake duty, and a lot of great community spirit. 🤠

We were proud to sponsor and attend the Okotoks & Foothills Pro Rodeo this weekend, alongside our client Metlen Energy & Metals.

Kim and Dayna kicked off the day serving breakfast to the rodeo royalty and the many volunteers who help make the event happen; a pretty great way to spend a morning in the Foothills!

We always enjoy opportunities to support local events, connect with the community, and have a little fun along the way. Thanks to everyone behind the scenes for a fantastic rodeo. We had a great time and are already looking forward to the next one!
