One of my favourites parts of being in the saddle is actually the saddle itself!
I donāt think iāll ever stop admiring the work that went into this one. Itās carried me through many parade miles this year and still has plenty more to go! Itās something I know Iāll treasure for the rest of my life.
Iām very thankful to Eamors Custom Saddlery for their incredible craftsmanship. Theyāve been building the Stampede Royalty saddles for decades and iām so lucky I get to sit in one as well! ā„ļø

The Golden Circle of Champions is a program that partners with the rodeo community to honour children and their families who have faced pediatric cancer and other illnesses.
This year in Okotoks, we had the honour of celebrating Sloane.
At just 5 years old, Sloane was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma. She has fought cancer not once, but twice, and today she is in remission! She is an incredibly strong little warrior!
Alongside her big sister Indy, Sloane got to spend the day around the horses, going for a ride and helping to get them ready for the rodeo! Their familyās story was shared with the crowd during the rodeo and after being introduced, she was met with a standing ovation from the entire arena.
Sloane and Indy, you are a couple of tough little cowgirls! š

What a weekend at the Okotoks Pro Rodeo!
The new Miss Rodeo Okotoks was crowned and congratulations to Queen Sadie! What a year you will have, and I canāt wait to watch where it takes you.
August has been an especially fun month for me too, with so much of spent in the saddle. There really is no place I would rather be! ā¤ļø

This morning was the Calgary Stampede Volunteer & Friends Divot Classic, and with this weather our golfers were getting a little extra practice in the āwater hazardādepartment!
The Divot Classic has raised more than $1.4 million over the past 27 years, with 100% of the funds raised going to the Calgary Stampede Foundationās educational programs.
So what is the Calgary Stampede Foundation?
Itās the part of the Stampede that works year-round to create opportunities for young people through education, agriculture, and performing arts. The Stampede Showriders are one of the programs supported by the foundation, so I appreciate first hand the opportunities these programs can provide to our youth.
A huge thank you, and congratulations to everyone who braved the rain and hit the course today! ā³ļø š§ļø
Okay, Iāve been keeping a pretty big secretš
During Stampede, I got a very unexpected invitation that had me saying āwaitā¦ seriously?!ā and Iāve been trying to keep this one under wraps ever since.
This September, Iām heading east!
Iām going to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia for the very first Cape Breton Pro Rodeo!
Cape Breton is hosting its first professionally sanctioned international pro rodeo this fall, bringing competitors from across North America to Sydney for four days of rodeo, live music and a whole lot of maritime spirit!
My family has roots in Newfoundland, so getting to spend some time back on the East Coast has me especially looking forward to this. Add a rodeo to the trip and I couldnāt have dreamed up a better invitation.
From Alberta to the Atlantic, Iāll see you in Nova Scotia! šš¦š¤

What started in 1983 as the Calgary Police Rodeo has grown into a rodeo for first responders from across Canada!
Police, firefighters, EMS, Peace Officers, military members and their families trade in their uniforms for cowboy boots and hats and step into the arena to compete. But this rodeo isnāt all about the competition, it raises money for the Missing Children Society of Canada and the Childrenās Cottage Society.
Over 40 years later, the Calgary First Responders Rodeo is still going strong at the Cochrane Rodeo Grounds. It was pretty incredible to see a group of people who spend their days serving their communities come together to compete, have some fun and give back to a very special cause.
Definitely a rodeo with a good story behind it! ššØš“
