Happy birthday to the incredible, incomparable Troy Kokol!

This year I have watched him stand by my side in a whole new way…keeping me fed and hydrated when I was too exhausted to do it myself, putting ice packs on my feet so my nerves didn’t deteriorate, driving me to and from appointments and making me laugh even through tears.

He is the rock to my roll, the cherry in my coke, and in these rocky seas he is keeping us afloat, hopefully towards calmer waters.

Love you, babe. You’re my best friend. Let’s hear it for the boy!

There are bad days but they are not all bad days. 🩷

Only a few weeks left of chemo for our girl, and we are finding moments for sitting outside now that spring has finally sprung, watching good shows and lots of rest. Her side effects are not too bad at the moment except for some numbness and tingling in her hands and feet and whacked taste buds. We hope both will recover fully as you know she loves that guitalele, not to mention the ability to enjoy chocolate which she says is one of the cruelest blows of chemo!

We miss you, we miss making music but there is a season to everything and this season is for healing and rest. We love you and all the support we have received from the music industry, fans and of course our friends and family…it’s warmed us through and through and made the hard days so much brighter. We love you all.

This year doesn’t look the way it should. But in between the treatments, tests, appointments, we are still US.

As Joni likes to say ‘there are bad days, but they aren’t all bad days’ and the treatments are tough but we are tougher.

Spring is coming, and in the beautiful words of George Harrison, ‘I feel that ice slowly melting. It feels like years since it’s been here. Here comes the sun. And I say it’s all right.’

Hey friends, some sobering news to share with you all that our girl Joni is battling breast cancer.

We had no idea when we shared a reel about Joni’s first cancer journey in October, that we would once again be walking hospital corridors together.

We are OK, as OK as we can be, and we have great hope for her healing. Her care team is amazing and she is hanging in there like a trooper.

It is still our dream to release some new music this year, but we have canceled our shows for the foreseeable future to take care of our girl the best we can.

We hope to share updates with you here as we go. If you believe, say a little prayer to whomever or whatever you look up to for our girl.
