Classic Millennial mid life crisis gardening journal. Join the chaos, won’t you?

A wee bit of a time stamp on the garden. While we’ve definitely gotten to enjoy some food from the garden, a combination of too cold, too dry, too hot, too wet, back to too cold, meant things are definitely not where they have been in years past.

But the most exciting thing is the WATERMELON 🍉 I’ve finally managed to grow after years of trying. Woo hoo!

Hopefully a few more weeks of summer and a warm September finishes things off for us.

The garden so far. ‘‘Twas a cold start this year and rain, rain, rain. Finally some heat and things are taking off. Gardening is a thing of patience in Calgary 🤣

✅ 6 wheel barrels of fresh compost/dirt moved💪
✅ One bed of carrots 🥕 and green onions 🧅 planted
✅ Broccoli 🥦 and Brussel sprout starters in the ground. Surrounded by large onions 🧅 to deter pests
✅ Pole beans for one trellis and radishes for edge
No space left unplanted for our first finished bed
✅ A greenhouse refresh and a new roof

We are pooped 😮‍💨
