Straight from the dancehall tradition, Gyal Ediot brings the charisma, swagger, and crowd-moving energy that reggae fans crave.
Originally from Spanish Town, Jamaica, and now based in Calgary, Gyal Ediot has spent more than two decades developing his craft as both a performer and songwriter. Known for his distinctive dancehall style, he first gained recognition under the stage name Sarge and has since built a catalogue of releases that blend authentic Jamaican rhythms with modern production and relatable storytelling.
A graduate of Jamaica's renowned performing arts training system, Gyal Ediot combines strong vocal delivery with charismatic stage presence. His music reflects both his Jamaican roots and his experience within Canada's growing reggae and dancehall scene, creating a sound that connects with audiences at home and abroad.
