Alberta Printmakers

Join us in Rotary Park!

In collaboration with Crescent Heights Community Association and the Women’s Centre of Calgary, we are excited to feature the printmaking artwork of 9 local youth over 2 exhibitions in the Rotary Park Mini Galleries!

“Expressions in Print” shows how these talented youth interpret their world through art.

EXHIBITION #1: LINOCUT

This exhibition features work by:
Ayla Au-Yeung, Arnima Juma, Jasmine Zhang, Swansi Hasan, and Teisha Juma

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 from 1-3pm.
→ join us at Gallery #1 at 1pm (right by the parking lot near the Lawn Bowling Club) for a walking tour of these works in the park. We’ll finish at Gallery #6 where we’ll have light refreshments and a live linocut demo by Alberta Printmakers!

This exhibition runs until November 9, 2026

EXHIBITION #2: MONOTYPE

This exhibition features work by:
Cecilia, Liliia Zab, Sofia Bolivar, and Taline Elsaghir

This exhibition will run from November 14, 2026 to January 11, 2027.
Stay tuned for information about the walking tour and live monotype demonstration that will take place in November!

Many thanks to participating youth, our program partners and Calgary Arts Development, for funding this project.

We’re at it again!

🕵️‍♀️Last week, we were able confirm details of almost ½ of our Mystery Monday artworks!

Help us to identify our next batch of mystery prints that we’ve come across in the A/P archives!

👀 Scroll through the images on this post, and let us know:

🔎 Does a style look familiar?
🔎 Do you recognize a signature?
🔎 Were you printing in the A/P studio when any of the prints were created there?
🔎 Are YOU or someone you know the talented printmaker behind any of these works?

Any and all information is welcome.

This weeks artworks include some real gems including beautiful handmade paper, vibrant colours, and prints with text.

Help us solve these mysteries so we can catalog them and give these artists credit :)
