We donated over 700 books to RECLAIM Literacy in Montreal, Quebec.

A book giveaway was held this summer at Riverview Elementary School and their Summer Camp in a Knapsack initiative. Through this program, children receive a backpack filled with books, school supplies, sunscreen, and treats, along with a link to a website with fun activities to enjoy throughout the summer.

The knapsacks have been an ongoing project over several years and are quite a hit with the families!

Our chapter was given the opportunity to support the Royal Canadian Legion Nanton Branch #80 with the beautiful cross walk honouring veterans. It is absolutely beautiful!

On the day of the Royal Canadian Legion’s 100th Anniversary, Friday July 17, 2026, Nanton’s Commemorative Veterans’ Crosswalk was officially dedicated by the organizations and supporters who helped make this meaningful project possible.

The crosswalk is located at the entrance to the Nanton Cenotaph, Bomber Command Museum of Canada (BCMC), and Nanton Community Centre, creating a lasting tribute to the veterans who have served our country.

The project was made possible through a partnership between Nanton Branch 80 of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Bomber Command Museum of Canada, Halifax 57 Rescue Canada, Nanton Masonic Lodge #17, IODE Evolve and Annie May Jackson Chapters, and the Town of Nanton, who came together to share the cost of the project.

The Commemorative Veterans’ Crosswalk is a visible and lasting way to honour the service and sacrifice of Canada’s veterans and recognize their important place in our community.

Kindness Awards because KINDNESS always wins. We are proud to partner with a local school to provide 3 awards to graduating elementary students for kindness towards the community, towards themselves and towards others. Each student recipient will receive a certificate, an Indigo Gift Card and a book. The same book will also be donated to the school's library so children can remember in years to come!

Some of our Evolve members are heading into DAY TWO of supporting our sister chapter IODE Bow Fort with casino fundraising. We love spending time and supporting our fellow IODE chapters.
