Your HRV is responsible for bringing fresh air into your home while recovering heat from the stale air going out — critical in Alberta's long winters when your house is sealed up tight. When it's this clogged, it's not recovering anything except maybe a cold.

This is exactly why I always recommend a sewer scope during a home inspection.
What looked fine on the surface turned into a major issue underground—this line has a large hole and a significant sag, both of which can lead to backups, ongoing blockages, and costly repairs.
Catching something like this before conditions are waived allows buyers the opportunity to negotiate repairs or a price adjustment based on the findings.
