There are great events and then there are truly great events. Last night was one of those nights. A huge thank you and shout-out to Acclaim Hotels for inviting Checker Cabs to their grand reopening. From the incredible food and beverages to the entertainment and inspiring speeches, it was an absolutely dynamic evening filled with energy, celebration and stellar company. We were honoured to be part of such a memorable night.

We spend all year making our yellow cabs easy to spot, then Calgary’s trees go and copy the colour scheme. It’s the first day of autumn, and we’re blending right in with the golden leaves across the city. Whether you’re heading to your favourite park or just across town, book through the Checker app and enjoy the view while we do the driving.
Calgary, we’re getting ready for the weekend. 360° cameras plus drivers who know this city like the back of their hand. After 52 years of being part of Calgary, we like to think we’ve got this cab thing down pretty well. You bring the plans, we’ll bring the yellow cabs.

What a fantastic morning connecting with the The Calgary Chamber of Commerce and hearing about the exciting events, opportunities and resources ahead for local businesses. Checker Cabs has proudly been part of Calgary’s story for 52 years, and as a locally grown company, we are excited to reconnect with the Chamber and build meaningful relationships across our community.

The weather is changing, but Calgary is putting on one of its best shows. Take a walk through our parks or down a tree-lined city street and enjoy the gold, red and orange leaves while they’re here. Calgary has scheduled Monster Jam, Spruce Meadows Masters, Grey Eagle concerts, Barley & Smoke and a whole pile of other events, apparently assuming we’ve all mastered teleportation. Until that happens, download the Checker app. We can’t get you to every event at once but we can get you there without turning your evening into a parking-lot documentary.
