Cool grey, warm brick, all heart 🧱

Some kitchens pick one palette and play it safe. This Calgary kitchen leaned into contrast instead, and it works beautifully.

Two-tone cabinetry, soft grey up top and deep charcoal below, keeps things calm and modern, while a rustic brick-look backsplash runs floor to ceiling behind the range and brings all the warmth. Grey quartz counters, a stainless chimney hood, and honey-toned wood floors tie the cool and the cozy together. And that vaulted ceiling with its skylight keeps the whole space bright and open to the dining area beyond.

Proof that a little contrast is a very good thing.

Mid-century bones, made brand new 🖤

Our Haysboro renovation is a finalist for Home Renovation $300,000–$600,000 in the 2026 BILD Alberta Awards.

This 1950s home had great structure and even bigger potential, so we reworked it top to bottom while keeping its character intact. The real gems are the kitchen and the bathrooms. A dramatic black kitchen with a marble waterfall island and warm walnut accents anchors the main floor, and the bathrooms pair moody tile with soft brass and beautiful stone. The laundry room, guest room, and guest bath all got the same considered treatment, so every space earns its keep.

The result feels like a brand new custom home, with the original character still shining through.

Moody, modern, and worth the wait 🖤

Our Haysboro ensuite is a finalist for Bathroom Renovation in the 2026 BILD Alberta Awards.

Here is the twist: this spa-like primary ensuite did not exist before. We carved it out of a former home office, taking down walls and rerouting plumbing to make room for something special. Dramatic black tile climbs the walls, chevron marble runs underfoot, and a walnut double vanity sits below twin oval mirrors and slim vertical sconces. Brushed rose-gold fixtures warm the whole palette, while a curbless glass shower with a rainfall head keeps it sleek and easy to step into. In-floor heat and layered lighting do the rest.

We call this one Graphite Modern. Safe to say it earns the name.

The kitchen that anchors the whole home 🍽️

Our Oakridge kitchen is a finalist for Kitchen Renovation Over $100,000 in the 2026 BILD Alberta Awards.

A rear-yard addition finally gave this kitchen room to breathe. Now an oversized island sits at the centre of everything, a walk-through butler's pantry keeps the mess out of sight, and a micro-plaster hood shroud crowns the range. Integrated appliances, layered lighting, and a beam left exposed on purpose make it feel effortless. It is the heart of the home, and it works as hard as it looks good.

Making a home work harder, not larger 🤎

Our Tuscany renovation is a finalist for Home Renovation $300,000–$600,000 in the 2026 BILD Alberta Awards.

For this family of four, the goal was never more square footage. It was a home that finally fit the way they live. We squared off the awkward angles, opened a daylit home office behind glass doors, and rebuilt the kitchen around a big square island with a window banquette made for slow mornings. A two-tone palette of warm oak and deep blue keeps it personal, and the primary ensuite got heated floors and a custom walk-in closet.

Thoughtful, functional, and finished within about one percent of budget. That last part still makes us smile.

Same footprint. Completely new room ✨

Our Signal Hill kitchen is a finalist for Kitchen Renovation Over $100,000 in the 2026 BILD Alberta Awards.

We did not move a single wall out. Instead, every inch got reconsidered. Warm walnut lowers meet crisp painted uppers, a waterfall quartz island became the gathering spot, and brass warms up the whole room. The old stained-glass "sunshine" ceiling made way for a clean, flat plane and layered lighting, and a glass-front display hutch gives it that finishing touch.

Proof that a smarter plan can change everything, without adding a square foot.

The one that kept our whole team dreaming big 🏡

Meet Oakridge, a finalist for TWO 2026 BILD Alberta Awards: Home Renovation Over $600,000 and Kitchen Renovation Over $100,000.

This was a full-home rebuild taken back to studs, then put together with intention on every level. A rear-yard addition finally gave the kitchen room to breathe, with an oversized island, a walk-through butler's pantry, and those barrel-arched built-ins around the fireplace that we are still thinking about. Downstairs, a sauna, a gym, and a proper place for the whole family to land.

It is a big, beautiful, deeply considered home, and we are honoured to see it recognized.
