Every Parkinson's diagnosis changes more than one life.
ACT-PD – Advanced Care Team for Parkinson's Disease – is a first-of-its-kind, donor funded program in Canada created to support people living with Parkinson’s and their caregivers.
It's based right here in Calgary, and has already changed the lives of hundreds of patients and caregivers. But more support is needed for the program to continue to expand, and meet the growing needs of our community.

Robert Ziebarth’s room at Carewest Colonel Belcher faced the gardens he helped create - through his own hands, and through the generosity of his gift.

We’re pleased to announce a $3 million donation from Jay Westman, Diana Joseph, and the Westman Charitable Foundation, for the creation of the first dedicated emergency space for senior patients in Western Canada.
Once completed, the Westman Family Seniors’ Emergency Pod at South Health Campus will provide 15 dedicated care spaces for older adult patients, designed to better address their complex needs and risks during an ED visit.
We’re profoundly grateful to the Westman family for their forward-thinking approach to philanthropy, generosity and a shared vision for creating the best-in-class care in Calgary.

Tara Godfrey grew up watching her mother work as a registered nurse - and was inspired to follow in her footsteps.
Today, Tara is pursuing her Master of Nursing, Nurse Practitioner degree. She was recently awarded the Calgary Health Foundation Nursing Education Endowment Scholarship, which is helping her stay focused on her studies while balancing work and education.
