DouglasQuarry Community Association

This evening, Tanya Fir presented the DQCA with a $42,000 cheque to help fund our upcoming rink shed replacement project in Douglas Glen!

Funding comes from the Community Facility Enhancement Program through the YourAlberta (Government of Alberta).

More details to come about the shed replacement, as zoning permits and utility right of way modifications are underway.

The Government of Alberta is currently conducting air quality testing in Douglas Glen, in relation to the dump fire at the Ecco Recycling facility. This vehicle will be in Douglasdale, Douglas Glen, Quarry Park and surrounding areas, over the next short while, monitoring air quality and reporting to first responders on-site to help determine next steps.

Canada Post has issued an update on the middle mail kiosk in Douglas Glen.

The lock for Canada Post staff to access the kiosk, for mail delivery, has been damaged and replacement parts are on the way.

Please continue to pick up your mail from 4141 118 Ave SE until the lock has been replaced and mail delivery has been restored.

Notice to Douglas Glen residents whose mail is delivered to the center mail kiosk: Canada Post has posted a notice, stating they have lost access to the center kiosk.

Residents whose mail is delivered to that Central kiosk must now pick up their mail from the Canada Post distribution center at 4141 118 Ave SE.

Residents must bring photo ID with them to pick up their mail.
