ONCUE is a vocal ensemble launched in 1995 that blends tight harmonies with a touch of musical theatre to create a unique brand of top-notch entertainment. The smooth synchronized sound, perfect blend and eclectic repertoire have brought great popularity to this group. Cydnee Petersen has been singing with Youth Singers for three incredible years. She’d always seen Youth Singers advertised but never realized there was a place for adults to join, until a friend forwarded an audition notice for ONCUE. That’s when she discovered just how much more the organization had to offer. Though she went into the audition with no expectations, joining has been an absolute blessing. Not just with ONCUE, but Youth Singers as a whole has become something truly special.
Music and singing have always been Cydnee’s passion. Growing up, she honed her skills through private vocal lessons, school clubs, and music classes. Still, she sometimes wonders how different my musical journey might have been if she’d found Youth Singers sooner. As a child, Cydnee struggled with confidence when it came to performing in front of people, but here, she finally found it.
Youth Singers is a one-of-a-kind organization that nurtures both skill and self-assurance, giving young performers a professional-level experience. Cydnee is endlessly grateful to Youth Singers and the dedicated team behind it for providing these transformative opportunities to artists of all ages, including adults.

Rita Aggarwala was in the Youth Singers in the 1980’s as a young teenager (when it was the Mount Royal Junior Youth Choir) and came back to sing with ONCUE in 2018, after many (many) years.
Madison, born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, has always had a passion for the arts, music and performance. She has been involved in a show whether it was musical theatre or choir ever since she was in elementary school.

We had such a great experience at Sing! Toronto. Thanks to everyone who braved the wet and windy weather to check out the 16 energetic acapella groups who competed. Hope we were able to warm you up and send you home smiling.

What an incredible experience this weekend has been! Huge thank you to SING! Toronto for having us. The competition was incredibly close, and every group brought something special to the stage!
We’re so excited to share that we placed 2nd in our division and brought home the second place prize! Thank you so much to everyone for your support, and congratulations to all of the amazing ensembles on a fantastic weekend.
