ONCUE is an a ca****la ensemble featuring smooth harmonies and creative arrangements of Pop, Jazz, Folk, Rock, Christmas and more!
ONCUE is a vocal ensemble launched in 1995 that blends tight harmonies with a touch of musical theatre to create a unique brand of top-notch entertainment. The smooth synchronized sound, perfect blend and eclectic repertoire have brought great popularity to this group. ONCUE has performed at many events in Calgary and surrounding areas including PODIUM in Winnipeg (2004), Victoria (2006) and Sackville NB (2008), “Northern Harmony” in Edmonton and the “Harmony Sweepstakes” a ca****la competition in California. There are opportunities to perform at private parties, public functions, conventions, international competitions and fundraising events, as well as at Youth Singers Mainstage shows. ONCUE members are auditioned, experienced performers, drawing on the talent in the ACT3 Division, Alumni and other exceptional performers. A number of ONCUE members work or have worked in various professional capacities on our Artistic Team.

This summer, three of our members had the incredible opportunity to join Youth Singers of Calgary on their tour of Peru! From performing and making music to exploring a whole new part of the world, this was an experience we’ll never forget. ❤️

ONCUE, Youth Singers of Calgary’s newly-visioned premiere a ca****la ensemble brings powerful vocals to life with dynamic flair, expressive choreography, movement and staging, and a signature high-energy artistic presence that elevates every piece. Our primarily modern a capella repertoire spans cover and original material, from pop classics to current hits, and from indie to contemporary styles.

Prepare a video submission with a song that shows off your vocal range and stage
presence.
Deadline to submit your audition video is August 9th, 2026.
Callbacks will be held in person.
For the callback, please prepare a contrasting piece from your video submission. During the callback, we’ll have you sing a few short sight-singing exercises.

Madison, born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, has always had a passion for the arts, music and performance. She has been involved in a show whether it was musical theatre or choir ever since she was in elementary school.
This passion led Madison to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Music, which she completed just over a year ago. During her time at the University of Calgary, she was a founder of the Musical Theatre Club and was involved in every choir.
In 2023, she joined Youth Singers as the Assistant Director of Kidazzle and Kidzxpress under the direction of ONCUE alumni Deanna Henderson-McDade. This is her first year performing with ONCUE and her second year with Act 3, the collegiate show choir.
Alongside her continued involvement in the performing arts, Madison is pursuing a second degree in Education with the goal of becoming an elementary music teacher. Whether on stage, in rehearsal, or in the classroom, Madison is dedicated to helping others discover the power of music and the arts.

Nothing says Calgary Stampede quite like cowboy boots, a little sparkle, and a whole lot of a ca****la! Come along as we get performance-ready before hitting the stage.
If you’re downtown, come say hi! We’ll be performing at Rope Square on Stephen Avenue (8th Ave), in front of the TELUS Convention Centre, on July 11 at 10:30 AM. We’d love to see some familiar faces in the crowd!
