Cream Day Celebrations is our annual family fun day at Historic Markerville that's too good to miss! There's a lot of activities packed in the afternoon from Noon to 4:00pm, starting with a Barbecue that lasts till 3. With a petting zoo, Penny Carnival games, Cream Can Train rides, Face Painting, live entertainment on the Creamery stage and the Iron Milkman Challenge that begins at 2:30 in the Buttermaker's House yard it's a guarantee you'll be entertained and busy!

Another pleasant surprise at this morning’s coffee gathering outside the Kaffistofa!

Members of the Elbow Valley Cycle Club rolled into Historic Markerville for a well-earned break, enjoying ice cream and a chance to relax before continuing their ride. About a dozen cyclists met in Spruce View before setting out on a scenic route that included Markerville, Stephansson House, and Dickson.

Before leaving the hamlet, the group made one more stop at our Historic Lutheran Church for a memorable photo opportunity. We’re always happy to welcome visitors who discover Markerville by bike!

About the Elbow Valley Cycle Club

The Elbow Valley Cycle Club is the largest recreational cycling club in Western Canada, with approximately 500 members. Based in the Calgary area, the club organizes around 500 rides and events each year, including road, urban, and mountain bike outings, as well as multi-day tours and social events.

The club welcomes cyclists of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to experienced riders, and promotes healthy, active living, friendship, and cycling as a practical form of transportation. They are also active in cycling education, mentoring, and advocacy throughout the Calgary region.
