Our hearts are heavy along with the entire community as we grieve the loss of 11-year-old Parker Wells. 💙
As a preschool dedicated to supporting neurodivergent children, this news is especially difficult.
We extend our deepest condolences to Parker’s family and our immense gratitude to the first responders and community members who searched endlessly for him with so much care and hope.

What a perfect way to celebrate the end of an amazing year! 🦁💙 Our BTLC kiddos had a fantastic day exploring the Calgary Zoo, making memories, and enjoying one last adventure together before summer. We couldn’t be more proud of all they accomplished this year! ☀️
On the last day in the classroom, we welcomed our families in as Erin read Pockets in My Heart and the kids sang ‘What I Am’ while proudly holding up a word that describes who they are-words like determined, confident, eager, imaginative, and kind. It was an emotional day celebrating how much each child has grown over the past year. We are so proud of every one of our students and grateful to the families who have trusted us to be part of their journey. Thank you for an unforgettable year. ❤️
After reading the book We Are Growing 🌱, we began a multi-day extension activity exploring so many areas - art, math, social studies, literacy, and science! The children built their own growing homes and then cared for their front yards, making sure they had just the right amount of water and sunlight 💧☀️. They were so excited to see the changes each day and took great pride in their yards!

We have been working hard on printing over the past few months!
While some are practicing letter formation on chalkboards, others are stretching their skills by printing letters, then words, and even full sentences with pencil and paper.
Differentiated learning in action, building skills for grade one!

Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads, stepdads, grandfathers, foster dads, caregivers, and all those who play a special role in a child’s life.
We had so much fun celebrating with our Sports Day event, where the children got to run, play, laugh, and make special memories with the important people who support and encourage them. It was wonderful to see the teamwork, connection, and joy shared throughout the day.

Our bugs theme was buzzing with fun! 🐞🐜
The children explored all kinds of activities from our play shelf - some happy to dive into their own discoveries, while others teamed up to play, share, and learn together
Our first multi step science experiment!
This activity targeted so many important skills, including attending to and taking information presented during a step by step demonstration, following sequenced directions, referencing print and pictures, asking for help when needed, and working independently.
We love activities like this that naturally bring together so many areas of learning, including science, language arts, and math, all through meaningful hands on experience.
