Established in 1958, the Saints are the oldest rugby club in Calgary. The Saints have a tradition o Training sessions run Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:45-8:15pm.
Men's Team
The Saints Men are well known in Alberta rugby for their pasts seasons successes. As always we are seeking new recruits and anyone interested is welcome to email Zak Scovoranski at [email protected] for more information. Women's Team
The Saints Women are a fun competitive team. Our training sessions are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:45-8:15pm. As always we are seeking new recruits and anyone interested is welcome to email Nancy Roney at [email protected] for more information. Junior Program
The Junior Season runs from late April through to the first week of July. A fall season is also available, and entry by any of the teams will be dependent on interest. We have a U7 & U9 Touch coed Touch League. The U11 League is a mixture of touch with contact introduced halfway through the season. We are always seeking new players for our junior program! The Saints have a strong history of assisting out-of-town and out-of-country players find jobs and lodgings, on both short and long-term arrangements. We welcome local players, Canadians from other areas and international guest players. The SARU is proud to say that they will be taking place in the Calgary Pride Parade again this year!
All clubs, members, volunteers, friends and family are all welcome. Come out to support Calgary pride!

We will be hosting a bottle drive next Wednesday to help support our Saints athletes that will be heading to Kamloops for the 7’s tournament.

It is the Southern Alberta U18 and U16 Rugby Finals happening at the Calgary Rugby Park and we have Saints games running all day!

We are a little late to the party, but congratulations to the 10 U15 Saints Girls players who represented Calgary Zone 3 and 4 at the Alberta Summer Games in July!
An additional congrats goes out to the Calgary Zone 3 Girls who competed under the Calgary Mavericks and brought home Gold!!

Interested in continuing your rugby season? The Colts are looking for players and coaches for the fall University season!
The Southern Alberta Colts are a Men’s U23 Mavericks team that competes in the Division 2/Regional Division PUMRC. It’s a great opportunity for players not in any post-secondary program, players who are taking a gap year, or players already graduated out of post-secondary.
INFO FOR PLAYERS:
If you’re interested in playing, info can be found at Calgary rugby.com under the senior mavericks tab.
- Age Grade is 19-23 (Players slightly outside age grade may be considered given positional and roster number needs)
- Practices are Wednesdays @ 6:30-8:30pm starting on August 26
- Season runs from September 12-October 25
