School is back, and classrooms are officially busy again.

From interactive displays and classroom audio to lecture capture, video conferencing, and presentation systems, AV plays a bigger role in education than ever.

When the technology works, it stays in the background and lets teachers teach and students learn. When it doesn’t, even a small AV issue can interrupt an entire class.

When every classroom is in use, having a reliable, easy-to-use AV system matters. Having recurring AV issues on your campus? Let’s talk about how to make your systems more reliable, easier to use, and ready for the demands of the school year.

There’s a lot more to AV integration than installing equipment.

From accounting for ambient lighting and acoustics during the design stage to installation, programming, training, and ongoing support, an integrator looks at the entire system and how it needs to function in the space.

We take a closer look at what AV integrators do, how we work alongside general contractors, consultants, and IT teams, and why early involvement matters.

The best AV system isn't necessarily the one with the most controls. It's the one that gives the right people the right controls.

At the First Unitarian Church of Victoria, the sanctuary is used for worship services, performances, community events, and rentals. The AV system needed to provide enough control for complex live events with multiple audio and video sources and be simple enough for outside users at the same time.

That's why we designed the system with two operating modes. Operator mode gives trained users full access to the production system, while renter mode uses simplified controls through a touch panel to operate the microphones, cameras, and video.

By making the AV system easy for guests to use, the church now has a professionally equipped event space that can be used by the church, the community, and outside groups.

Our team spent time with our manufacturing partners and got hands-on with the latest innovations at 2026. One of the standouts was the new Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling M Plus (TCC M Plus).

Building on the beamforming technology the TeamConnect series is known for, the TCC M Plus introduces new features like PartnerLink, developed with Q-SYS to simplify microphone integration, along with updates to DeviceHub for easier remote monitoring and management.

It's a great example of a trend we saw throughout the show: manufacturers are continuing to simplify deployment while making commercial audio systems easier to manage.

We cover this announcement, along with other highlights from Shure, Audio-Technica USA, Biamp, Atlas IED, and more, in our latest InfoComm 2026 Audio Recap.
