A'sitapii Wheels in Motion Program 🚲

Youth ages 14–18 are invited to join us for a 3-week outdoor and land-based culture program! Stay active, explore scenic trails, and connect with traditional land teachings. The program finishes off with a Season End Turkey Race!
Program Details:
• When: Fridays from 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM

• Dates: Sept 25, Oct 2, and Oct 9, 2026

• Gear & Snacks: Bikes, helmets, snacks, and beverages are all provided!

• Availability: ⚠️ Only 12 bikes available. Register early to save your spot!

Please be advised that the Deerfoot Sportsplex will be temporarily closed for the Women's and Men's Cursillo on the following dates:
• Wednesday, September 16 at 5 p.m. to Sunday, September 20, 2026
• Wednesday, September 23 at 5 p.m. to Sunday, September 27, 2026

The Deerfoot Athletic Club will remain open during regular hours:
Monday to Friday: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday to Sunday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

NEXT GENERATION DAY CAMP — LOST & FOUND

We still have a few clothing items that were left behind during Next Generation Day Camp this summer!

If your child is missing a sweater, shirt, jacket, or other clothing item, please reach out to SN7, Siksika Parks & Recreation / Deerfoot Sportsplex to claim your child’s item.

Items will be held until October 2, 2026.
After October 2, any unclaimed items will be donated.

We’re almost there! The Deerfoot Sportsplex will close today, Wednesday, September 9, at 4:30 PM as we continue important safety testing for our new Ice Plant Upgrade.

The testing wasn’t quite finished yesterday, so we’re extending the closure into today to make sure everything is completed safely and properly.

No public or staff access will be permitted inside the facility or surrounding area after 4:30 PM while testing is underway.
❄️We’re excited for this upgrade and what it means for the Deerfoot Sportsplex and our community! Thank you for your patience and understanding as we put the finishing touches on this important improvement.

Expected reopening: Thursday, September 10, with regular hours, pending completion of testing.

The Deerfoot Sportsplex will close again on Wednesday, Sept. 9, starting at 4:30pm, to continue required safety testing for the Ice Plant Upgrade Project. No one will be permitted on-site during this time, including in the gymnasium, arena, Deerfoot Athletic Club, meeting spaces, staff offices, storage spaces, outdoor rink, or parking lot while a certified inspector oversees the test.

The Deerfoot Sportsplex will be open during regular morning/afternoon hours on Sept. 9. This temporary closure extension will be in effect from 4:30pm onward only.

The Sportsplex is expected to reopen with regular hours tomorrow, on Thursday, September 10, but please watch this page for confirmation.

Today we celebrated the end of another fun-filled summer with our Summer End Staff & Campers BBQ! 🥳

Our campers got to enjoy an afternoon full of laughter, games, water activities, face painting, balloon twisting, bouncy houses, and of course, lots of good food! 💦🎨🎈🍿

A huge thank you to all of our summer staff for the time, energy, patience, and care you put into making this summer special for our kids. ❤️
And thank you to all of the families who trusted us with their children and joined us throughout the summer!
