SAIT Youth Programs

✈️ Taking learning to new heights!

Last week, students from Calgary Board of Education and Fusion Collegiate aviation pathway programs had the opportunity to visit Art Smith Aero Centre and connect with members of the Royal Canadian Air Force.

Students explored the exciting aviation and aerospace opportunities available through Art Smith's programs, toured the hangar, and got an up-close look at the impressive CH-148 Cyclone helicopter. 🚁

Experiences like these help students see the many pathways available in the aviation industry while connecting classroom learning to real-world careers.

Thank you to our hosts for inspiring the next generation of aviation professionals!

We're very excited to be launching our first cohort of students from Fusion Collegiate in our new HLTH-203: Healthcare Fundamentals dual-credit course!

This course introduces students to a variety of healthcare careers while building essential skills in communication, teamwork, professionalism, and personal wellness.

Students will explore what it takes to provide patient-centered care and succeed in today's healthcare environments.

As part of an overall healthcare pathway, these students will also have the opportunity to experience some of our amazing medical labs on campus and gain hands-on exposure to the healthcare field.

Programs like these help students explore potential career pathways, build confidence in their abilities, and gain valuable insight into post-secondary education.

Campers in SAIT's Next Great Entrepreneur camp put their creativity, teamwork and business skills to the test by designing products and running weekly sales booths on campus. Participants learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship by creating a product from start to finish, developing marketing strategies, and putting their ideas into action through real sales experiences. At the end of the camp, all profits are donated to Alberta Children's Hospital.

This summer, campers raised $921.10 for Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation, demonstrating how entrepreneurial thinking can create a positive impact in our community.

That's a wrap on Summer Camps 2026! ☀️

📍 Today, Digital Youth Programs joined the Run as One youth conference at the Siksika Nation Sportsplex for an exciting hands-on 3D printing session!

Participants had the opportunity to learn about the world of additive manufacturing, explore how 3D printers work, and see their ideas come to life through technology. It was inspiring to connect with so many youth who were eager to innovate, create, and discover new possibilities for their futures.

Thank you to the organizers and everyone who stopped by to learn with us. We loved being part of this incredible event!
