A shoutout to my husband Chris for accepting all of my dog shenanigans into his life over the last 5 years. 🤍

And no, he did NOT say a word about the fact that I didn't thank him in my 5-year post. 😅

So let me tell you some of the things I have put this man through...

Let's start with day one.

We're normally a team when it comes to big decisions, but I actually never told him before deciding to leave my secure, basically-set-up-for-life career.

That was a bit of a shock to him... and probably everyone else.

"Wait... you're going to walk dogs for a living?"

Yes. Yes, I am.

Then came in-home sitting, or more in-home sitting... I was gone ALL THE TIME, but the extra money was nice, so he accepted it.

Then I moved him from our comfortable condo life into a house so I could board dogs.

We agreed on one or two.

Then it became three.

Then four.

Then one time I snuck another dog into the house without telling him because I was being cheeky. 😬

I was definitely in trouble for that one. Sorry hun...

There was dog hair in his food, on his clothes, in his coffee...

And eventually I realized I hadn't slept in the same bed as my husband in a while because "Toby" needed me at night or NONE OF US WERE SLEEPING. 🫠

Even I eventually had to admit... okay, this is crazy. 😂

But all that craziness helped me build Dogs on Board and supplement my income while I grew the walking side of the business into what it is today.

And Chris has been there through ALL of it.

He's supported me, understood me, held his tongue more times than I'll probably ever know and listened to me talk NON-STOP about dogs, dogs and MORE DOGS.

He even lets me take over the table at his fancy work dinner parties because the second people find out you walk dogs for a living, EVERYONE wants to tell you about their dog....

So thank you, Chris, for five years of dog chaos and for supporting this crazy little business every step of the way. I genuinely couldn't have done it without you beside me. 🤍

I still can't help but laugh when I catch him like this. 😘
