Jay and Marty are joined live by Will Big Crow and Ben Harbak. Their first album is out on December 3, 2021. Nerada is a Calgary-based metal band with music is created by longtime writing duo Jay Nerada and Marty Leibel formerly of Insidious and DayOne. Jay Nerada - Guitar/Vocals

Jay Nerada has been involved in music most of his life. He started playing guitar at age 11. Megadeth’s “Rust in Peace” is what kickstarted his love for metal and playing guitar more specifically. He has previously been involved with the bands Insidious (2004 - 2009), Divinity (2011 - 2013) and Day One (2009 - 2015). He's had the opportunity to share a stage with A Perfect Circle, Five Finger Death Punch, Exhumed, Macabre, Vital Remains, Hate Eternal, and Origin. Some of the bands that have most inspired him are Death, Into Eternity, and The Eagles. Fresh out of audio engineering school, Marty Leibel was looking for studio time. He answered Jay Nerada's ad "Drummer needed, studio time booked" and the rest, as they say, is history. After a couple of jam sessions, Marty and Jay went straight into the studio to record an Insidious album. As they worked together, their music became consecutively faster and heavier with the influence of different bandmates. Fast forward to the present -
the music of Nerada is a synergy of the years Jay and Marty have written music together combined with their desire to create music truly how they want. William Big Crow is a very talented musician and a great addition to the live version of Nerada. William is definitely no stranger to the stage being the Vocalist, bassist and now guitarist for Morley's DETHGOD since 2014. He is also the guitarist and vocalist for Death/Grind band Narcissistic Necrosis. He takes much of his influence from Cannibal Co**se, Slayer and Mortician. William has shared the stage with Children of Bodom, SepticFlesh, Moonspell, Wolfheart, Swallow the Sun and Deathstars and has performed at Loud as Hell. Last but certainly not least is Edmonton's Ben Harbak. Ben has 20 years of experience playing guitar and has previously played with Acantha, Begrime Exemious, The Noumenon, and Disciples of Power. He is stage with the likes of Atheist, Cynic, Suffocation, Cattle Decapitation, Absu, Arch Enemy, Conan, Brujeria, Into Eternity, Divinity, Intronaut, and many more and is inspired by Spiral Architect, Dillinger Escape Plan, and Yes.
