RAVN Homes

Remember When the windows framed the view — instead of fighting it?

Because here's the truth: small windows are often just a cost decision. It's cheaper to punch a standard-sized opening than to spec larger glass, so builders default small — even on a lot where the view is the whole reason someone bought it.

We think that's the wrong place to cut.

If you're paying for a lot because of the mountains, the lake, the valley — the view should shape the design, not get squeezed into whatever opening keeps the budget tidy.

On builds like this, we size the glass to the view. Bigger windows that bring the outside, in.

Why build somewhere beautiful and then look at it through a small window?

RAVN Homes - Built To Be Remembered

A quality home means using quality materials of course.
Here's why we use wood, not MDF for our baseboards and casings.

Why RAVN Homes Uses Solid Wood, Not MDF, for Baseboards Most Calgary builders use MDF for baseboards and casings. RAVN Homes uses solid wood. Here's why it's not a close call — for your health, durability, and long-term value.

Happy Canada Day from all of us here at RAVN Homes.

Dcore Project Solutions Inc. are getting the James Hardie siding installed.

It's our siding of choice...superior durability to vinyl siding against impacts (think hail), it's non-combustible for added safety, stable across changing weather, is long lasting, and adds value if you ever want to resell your home.

Remember to check with your insurance provider for any discounts they may offer when you are having James Harding installed on your home.

Remember When Your Siding Was Built to Last?

There was a time when the outside of your home was taken just as seriously as the inside.

When builders chose materials based on what would hold up against decades of prairie weather — not what looked good in a brochure or came in at the lowest bid.

That time isn't gone. We just never left it.

At RAVN Homes, every home is clad in James Hardie Cement Fibre Board. Because in Alberta, your siding isn't decorative. It's armour.

Vinyl looks fine until the first serious hailstorm rolls through. And if you've lived on the prairies for any length of time, you know it's not a matter of if - It's a matter of when.

James Hardie is durable. It doesn't melt in the heat or warp in the cold. And when fire becomes a concern, it's the siding that gives your family more time, not less.

We’re intentional about our material choices because every decision we make is intended to build you a home that can withstand the extremes of the Alberta climate.

Your home's exterior shouldn't be the thing that fails you first.

Built to be remembered. Built to last. Built by RAVN Homes.
