Please keep in mind that services will be offered by appointment only, and many services, such as adult passport renewals, can be done via mail.

On the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, we reflect upon the enduring strength of the American spirit and remember the 2,977 people who lost their lives.

Among those who died were more than 400 first responders, including 23 police officers, 37 Port Authority workers, and 343 firefighters.

To honor those who rushed to rescue victims at Ground Zero, this year we recognized—and shared a moment of silence with—our partners at local agencies such as the RCMP, Canada Border Services Agency, and Calgary Police Service.

Directly or indirectly, agencies like these are part of an important legacy: 9/11 prompted a quarter-century of close collaboration between American and Canadian law enforcement to strengthen our borders, gather and share intelligence, and help keep people safe from threats of violence and terrorism, at home and abroad.

The U.S. Consulate General Calgary will be closed Monday, September 7 for Labor Day. The Consulate will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, September 8.

The U.S. Consulate General Calgary will be closed Wednesday, July 1 for Canada Day. The Consulate will reopen with regular hours on Thursday, July 2.

The U.S. Consulate General Calgary will be closed Friday, June 19 for Juneteenth. The Consulate will reopen with regular hours on Monday, June 22.
