So many times I heard, "That looks
just like my (fill in the name)!"

What a joy to bring joy to so many people with my little skill!

They always make me wonder about the lives of the people who built them and lived in them.

I mostly paint landscapes, but sometimes you happen upon a scene that grabs your eye and just begs to be painted!

Although I live in Calgary, home of the world famous Calgary Stampede, I'm not a cowboy, so I don't even know what kind of horse this is. I just remember it was a hot summer day and he didn't seem inclined to do anything but lay there and bask in the sun!

It was so bright that day it hurt my eyes, but the crystal clear air and the midday sun in the southern sky just made this mountain pop!

I immediately wanted to paint it and try to capture the 3 dimensional solid chunkiness of it.

Finally getting some painting done again! Yay! Working on a little watercolor here.
