International Day of Peace 🕊️

Today, as we celebrate the International Day of Peace, I can’t help but reflect on our travels through Europe.

One of my favourite moments was when our French Uber driver shared his philosophy on life with us. He said the three most important things in life are food, love and charm. ❤️

From Paris to the south of France, and now in Spain, we have experienced different cultures, languages, accents, traditions and ways of life. We’ve sat around tables enjoying wonderful food, shared plenty of laughs, interesting conversations and have met people who reminded us that, underneath all our differences, we really aren’t that different at all.

This trip has also reminded me just how precious peace is. The simple freedom to travel, explore, sit together over a meal and enjoy life is something we can so easily take for granted.

Maybe that’s one of the gifts of travel, it puts life into perspective. Different countries, different histories, different languages… but at the end of the day, people everywhere want to feel safe, loved and connected.

So today, I’m raising a glass to food, love, charm and peace!
