Our client, , came to us with a thoughtful schematic design plan in August 2023, and from there we worked closely together to bring the home to life, refining the layout, interiors, finishes and the many details that shape how a home feels and functions. Seeing the finished home so closely reflect their vision is something we’re incredibly proud of.

A closer look at one of our favourite details from The English Tudor.

The custom plaster-finish hood was designed to feel as a part of the interior architectural rather than decorative. Its soft curves and substantial scale create a strong focal point, while the understated finish allows the natural stone backsplash, cabinetry, and unlacquered brass details to do their part.

A traditional detail, interpreted in a way that feels clean, timeless, and completely at home here.

Living room tour from The English Tudor.

A living room designed for everyday life, with enough presence to still feel special.

Located just off the kitchen, this room is centred around the fireplace, with glazed doors and transoms on either side bringing in natural light and creating a strong sense of symmetry.

Traditional millwork and a veined marble fireplace surround give the room character, while warm wood floors, soft neutral furnishings, and layers of texture keep it comfortable and inviting. The sightline back into the kitchen was intentional, allowing the two spaces to feel connected while still maintaining their own identity.

Classic, warm, and beautifully livable, the kind of room made to be used every day.

Hello, we're Mike and Laura of LT Homes.

Together with our team, we design and build beautiful, custom homes for everyday living in our hometown of Calgary, Alberta.

What started as a design company in 2014 on our dining room table has transitioned into a dynamic, growing residential design and building company working on new home construction and renovation projects across the city, with an in-house team of designers, architects, project managers and carpenters.

Originally from a small town on the prairies, we've lived in Calgary together for 25 years. We have two children, Will 13 and Emily 10, and a forever puppy, Bodhi, are hockey parents, and are passionate about creating beautiful, functional and family-friendly homes for our clients to enjoy for years to come.

We like to keep it simple - we work closely with its suppliers, tradespeople and vendors to execute collaborative design plans, with a strong emphasis on pre-planning and a design-centric approach to everything from space planning and sight lines to functionality and touch-points tailored to each client’s needs.

Architectural design and interior design services are in-house - which means our clients don't project manage their design and construction teams - we do. We find the design-build process is a more holistic and sustainable approach to building with respect to project budgets and timelines overall.

Drawing on classic, timeless design with modern influences, LTH homes are built to stand the test of time while supporting busy, modern living; and with beautiful results.
