The search for missing 11-year-old Parker Wells has ended in tragedy after Calgary police confirmed they found a body believed to be his.

Investigators say Parker is believed to have entered a stormwater culvert and travelled through an underground network of pipes beneath Deerfoot Trail, where specialized search teams later recovered his body. After 13 days of searching involving more than 1,000 emergency personnel and countless community volunteers, police thanked the public for their overwhelming support and extended their condolences to Parker's family as the investigation continues.
