Nick & I met online a few years ago after discovering each other’s music. Around that time, he was coming to perform in Sydney, and we were able to play a show together at .Since then, we’ve become even closer and knew it was the right time to work on a song together.

Ignition is about fueling the fire inside of you that drives your biggest ambitions and dreams - no matter what life may throw at you. When everything feels uncertain, it’s that inner spark that keeps you moving forward.

Theres something thats really grinding my gears at the moment and i felt like i need to speak about it - and thats AI generated music.

I get it, it is here to stay and some tools of AI could be useful, but 50,000 AI generated songs are being uploaded daily to spotify now - and im seeing multiple 'artists' online using suno to prompt a whole song and then uploading it to all streaming platforms. These 'artists' are growing a following online AND making money off a song they didn't even produce. Then they go on tour and play songs they made using a prompt? Is that what people really want to see when they're watching someone perform?

Thats not all - I'm seeing multiple cases people are stealing artists’s unreleased work getting the audio from a reel online and loading into Suno, then they DISTRIBUTE IT to streaming platforms saying they made it.

That is STRAIGHT UP plagiarism. I don’t know we're going to stop people from doing this, but something has to be done. How else are artists meant to promote their music if the people out there steal their work?

Spotify you guys need to label when a song is AI generated. People deserve to know what they are listening to.
