Temporary wall murals for the Bookends exhibition at the Illingworth Kerr Gallery, open today 🖼️

How does it work? This specialty material is a printable removable wall decal, which can be printed in any colour or feature any image/design. It features a removable, gentle adhesive that peels cleanly off painted walls. We use a digital plotter to trim the vinyl into each shape (called contour-cutting) to form the letters, before removing any excess.

After carefully measuring and placing the graphics panels, our team applies them to the wall once the adhesive backing is removed.

This material and process makes it ideal for wall murals, indoor signage, and galleries wanting large-format impact without permanent damage. We also use this removable decal on the sandwich board sign shown in the last photo.

We've supported the IKG for years with these kinds of graphics installations, and love the effect it creates in the gallery every time.

We'll be at the Calgary Humane Society's Cocktails for Critters Gala on October 17th, as a Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinics sponsor. We love our furry friends at Exhibit Studio (you'll often see them around the office!) and we're proud to support programs for animal care in our community.

Over the years we've teamed up with the Calgary Humane society in different ways: as volunteers, sponsors, and as a builder for multiple donor recognition and signage projects.

Visit their page to learn more about the event and their organization. The gala supports emergency veterinary care for surrendered animals, behaviour support and training, humane education and outreach programs, and animal protection across Calgary.

Activation Update 🎪

Frio Frio is back on the midway with a refreshed look! Last year we built out this custom seacan to bring their treats to events across North America.

This year we updated the interior graphics inside the seacan, added new graphic menus, plus a sandwich board sign.

We also built a new modular 10x20 booth for indoor venues: vibrant graphics, direct-print overhead ACM signage, and an Octanorm retail counter with locking storage.

Meet Braden, Exhibit Installer 👋 He’s part of the Installation and Dismantle crew, travelling near and far to get the project completed for our clients. He recently celebrated his one-year work anniversary, and is always willing to lend a hand and dive into a challenge, whether that's on-site or in the shop.

Braden holds an applied bachelor's degree in art and design, with a background as a sculptor and fabricator. He made the clay sculpture shown in his photo by hand – his creativity and eye for detail show up in everything he touches.

He also has hands-on experience with web development, electrical, fire and flood remediation, print production, and museum conservation. Not to mention the creative general skill set and problem-solving that comes from growing up in the country.

Outside of work you’ll find Braden enjoying metal concerts, playing board games and video games, or off on an adventure.

The Great Divide Trail Association recently unveiled a new mural depicting Tornado Mountain, created by artist Lynnie Wonfor.

We're happy to see the final piece up outside of Kindred Ground in Coleman, Alberta. 🏔️

We love being involved with public art projects, and were able to produce this piece on three outdoor-rated matte laminate panels using our large-format printers.

This seamless installation is ready for the community to enjoy for years to come! 🖼️

Great Divide Trail Mural Unveiled in Coleman On June 14, 2026, we unveiled the stunning Great Divide Trail mural, created by artist Lynnie Wonfor in Coleman, Alberta, during our inaugural Trail Days Celebration. The Alberta Museums Association (AMA) is pleased to announce that
the McDougall Stoney Mission Society 'Morleyville: Stories of the Land and People Interpretive Trail' Project will receive the AMA’s 2026 Leadership Award for Engagement, in recognition of their collaborative approach to site stewardship, community engagement, and inclusive storytelling. Together with the Stoney Advisory Group of Elders and Supporters (SAGES), the Society has cultivated a shared vision to transform the interpretation of the 43.9-acre Morleyville site, near Mînî Thnî (Morley), Alberta.

The Award will be presented at the Association's 55th Anniversary Gala and Awards Ceremony presented by Know History on September 23, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Wyndham Edmonton Hotel and Conference Centre, held as part of the Alberta Museums Association's 2026 Conference, The Adaptable Museum: Embracing Creative Stewardship for a Sustainable Future.
