Copper patina is notoriously fickle. But that rose gold is so pretty! I hadn’t tackled it in years, but I had a vision for a new design and it involved copper lines. ⁣

I read all the advice and watched all the tutorials. ⁣
⁣
And ta da!!! ✨ ⁣
⁣
I’m so pleased with how it turned out! The design, the work, and most of all the copper patina. ⁣
⁣
Full disclosure: the first try was all muddy and horrible so I steel wool scrubbed it off. 🤷🏻‍♀️ ⁣

It should be spring, but Calgary seems to have missed the memo. So, I guess I’ll have to create my own blooms. 🌺

✨New Studio Tour! ✨⁣

I moved into a new house a few months ago that has a little bonus room - what a fun surprise! After some negotiating (with my partner, who turned the entire garage into his workshop) I successfully claimed it as my new glass studio!⁣

Having an in-home studio is such a dream. I have to watch my noise levels because my grinder is a beast, and I also have to walk upstairs every time I need the sink, but they are small inconveniences really. ⁣

I’ve had to do a lot of re-buying of equipment and supplies, due to moving overseas, but it’s coming together and feels so good!⁣

Now I just need a giant glass haul from somewhere… 🤞🏼 🤔 ⁣
