The morning of September 18th,
we said goodbye to an incredible soul.
Steve 'Riceball' Recsky passed away surrounded by those who adored him and cherished him dearly.
Riceball had a way of making people feel seen and cared for. It's a rare trait for a person to have but he carried it with ease. Many people have crossed his path inside and outside of the derby community, and without a doubt, everyone has a story to tell from that encounter.
We are so thankful to have had him as a coach, teammate, and adopted derby dad.
From coaching A-level teams, inspiring the younger generation, and capturing incredible moments through a lens, to bringing undeniable funk and groove to the rink, he did it all.
We cherish every memory, every moment we had with this beautiful man and will continue to cherish the memories that fill our hearts with warmth, happiness, and inspiration. 🍁🍚
