Flames Sports Bank

The impact of this equipment drive will stretch beyond our city limits!

A huge thank you to Adrenalin Source for Sports for hosting an equipment drive this summer and continuing to support kids and families in our community.

Their ongoing commitment to Calgary, KidSport, and youth programs helps keep quality sports equipment in the hands of kids who need it, allowing more young athletes to get involved, stay active and play the sports they love.

We’re grateful to have community partners like Adrenalin Source for Sports in our corner.

Thank you for continuing to show up for Calgary’s kids! 🙌

Clean out that summer gear before it collects dust all winter! 🙌

As athletes grow, their gear does too. If you find items that no longer fit, don’t let them sit—donate them!

Your old gear could be exactly what another young athlete needs to play.

Donate at any Wood Automotive Dealership in Calgary and Okotoks.

Tonight is the Calgary Flames HOME OPENER! 🏒

A few weeks ago, the Flames had us out to the Calgary Flames Rookie Showcase at the Dome for an equipment drive. We collected a ton of equipment that will be cleaned and redistributed to kids in our community, AND we saw the rookies that will be firing up the Flames this season.

We’re grateful for everyone who stopped by, brought in donations and helped us get more kids equipped to play.

Thanks for having us and GO FLAMES GO! 🙌

A huge thank you to the Whitecap Resources team for joining us for Outfitting Day and for their generous financial contribution to Flames Sports Bank and KidSport Calgary.

Volunteering is a great way to build stronger teams, connect outside of the workplace and make a meaningful impact in our community.

We’re so grateful for the time and energy they brought to the day, and for their continued support.

Their contribution is an investment in kids and families across Calgary, helping make sure more young people have the opportunity to participate in sport.

Thank you, Whitecap Resources, for being part of our team! 🙌

Thanks to a second grant from the Daryl K. Seaman Canadian Hockey Fund, administered by the Calgary Foundation, we were able to restock our KidSport Calgary skate shacks, mobile trailers filled with skates that travel across the city all winter long.

These skate shacks are booked every week and with the help of our partners at ULS, they move from schools to community centres and even to The Calgary Zoo, giving kids the chance to experience skating.

For some children, this is their entry point into a lifelong love of being active. For others, it’s simply a chance to try something new, feel included, and participate fully with their classmates. When a school books a skate shack, it doesn’t matter whether a child owns skates at home, because everyone gets to take part.

Thanks to the Daryl K. Seaman Canadian Hockey Fund, we are fully stocked and ready to roll out the skate shacks this winter season.

This is what inclusion looks like. This is what access feels like.

Thank you to the Daryl K. Seaman Canadian Hockey Fund and the Calgary Foundation for making all of this possible.

We need your old gear!

As you gear up this fall for another winter of sports, please think of the Flames Sports Bank when deciding what to do with your old equipment.

Donation bins are located at every Wood Automotive Group location in Calgary & Okotoks, as well as Adrenalin Source for Sports locations.

➡️ A gentle reminder that we are looking for youth equipment. If you would not put your kids in it, we probably cannot use it.

We do not accept exercise equipment, bikes that require repair, dance and gymnastics apparel, combat gear, aquatic gear, old or out-of-date racquets, skis or snowboards that aren't up to date for universal fittings, toys, or electronics.

Wondering if we need it? Send us a message!

We’re thrilled to celebrate our incredible partners at Empire Envelope LTD., led by Doug Dalton, as they bring back the Power of a Helmet Campaign in honour of Qualico’s 75th anniversary! 🏒

Thanks to their incredible generosity and the support of their network, they’ve surpassed their $5,000 fundraising goal and are now shooting for an incredible $7,000!

This funding will provide nearly 100 new hockey helmets for kids in Calgary.

These helmets make a real, tangible difference by helping young players get on the ice with safe, properly fitting equipment. We’re so grateful to Empire Envelope and everyone who has helped make this campaign such a success!

There are just 12 days left. Let’s keep the momentum going and help get even more helmets onto Calgary kids so they can play the sport they love. Please donate today:

The gear your athlete has outgrown could be the gear another athlete has been waiting for. ❤️

This summer, help us give sports equipment a second life and make sure more kids in our community have the opportunity to play.

Donate your gently used equipment to our location or any Wood Automotive Group Dealerships!

Adrenalin Source for Sports has done it again!

They're hosting a back-to-school equipment drive on behalf of KidSport Calgary and the Flames Sports Bank. This was the first of MANY bins that our team has picked up.

Thank you, Adrenalin, for continuing to be a leader in our community and ensuring that no kid is left on the sidelines!

Have gear to donate? There's a collection bin in-store, and after you've donated, the Adrenalin team can help upgrade your equipment 💪

A big thank you to River of Life Alliance Church for hosting us at the Calgary Housing BBQ & Equipment Distribution.

We love being part of events that bring our community together and help make sport more accessible for local kids.

Thanks for having us. We’re always happy to be out in the community!
