Our first full day on Islay could not have started any better.

We had the pleasure of spending the day at Kilchoman Distillery with founder and proprietor Anthony Wills, whose passion for Islay, wh**ky and traditional farm distilling is impossible to miss.

Anthony has built something very special at Kilchoman, bringing back many of the traditions of farm distilling while building one of Islay’s most respected independent distilleries. It was a real privilege to spend time with him, hear the story behind Kilchoman, tour the distillery and warehouses, and talk about the business, the wh**ky industry and the hard work that has gone into building the brand.

What stood out most was Anthony’s genuine passion, his common-sense approach to the business and his commitment to doing things properly.

Of course, there was also some exceptional wh**ky along the way.

We are very excited about some of the Kilchoman releases and opportunities we discussed today, and we look forward to bringing a few real gems back to our customers at Craft Cellars in the coming months.

A fantastic first day on Islay — and a great way to begin our wh**ky journey through Scotland.
