This summer, the Solar Club® Foundation visited Camp Kindle, an accredited oncology camp in the Rocky Mountain Foothills run by Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta 🏕️

Our recent $15,000 donation sent two kids to camp and helped upgrade the solar-powered Sunseeker cabin for years to come.

Seeing it in person, one thing was clear: the real magic isn't the ziplines or the treehouses (though Canada's only treehouse village is pretty incredible). It's the sense of belonging kids find there, away from the demands of cancer treatment.

Every Solar Club Member helped make this possible. Thank you for being part of the change we create for Albertans. 💛

Last December, we asked a Veteran what the Solar Club® Foundation could do to support their transition out of homelessness. They said dental care.

For Heroes Foundation told us the same thing. Especially on intake, lack of dental care is a common and neglected aspect of their well-being.

Having a safe space to live is a huge milestone. Years without treatment affect nutrition, health, and whether someone feels able to walk into a job interview at all.

So the Foundation donated an initial $25,000 to launch the Dental Care Pilot Program for Veterans in Calgary and Edmonton. Since June, the program has already helped eight Veterans receive dental care. For most, it was the first time in years.

The best ideas come from the people who have lived the experience. Veterans know better than anyone what challenges they face and what kinds of support make a real difference.
