Join Chest Fever & friends for a tribute and celebration of The Band’s 1976 iconic concert event - The Last Waltz.

Featuring an all-star local horn section in Calgary, and local guests performing the well loved roles of the original star studded cast including Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and more. Follow Chest Fever on tour and keep up to date with the band as they announce more details leading up to the show.

About Chest Fever :
Chest Fever celebrates the iconic songs, albums, and concerts of the legendary Canadian-American Hall of Fame inductees THE BAND.

Described by Relix Magazine as “faithful, but updated with a bit more teeth,” the group has been carrying the tradition and musicianship forward since 2022. As an international touring rock band, Chest Fever has released two albums of The Band’s music, and performs the famous 1976 concert, The Last Waltz, in its entirety for audiences of all ages. With a stamp of approval from the late Robbie Robertson and The Band Official Estate, Chest Fever honors The Band’s fabled legacy by capturing the passion and magic of their timeless catalog– for modern and new fans alike.

Join us on Sunday Nov 1 for a brunch screening of Paul Feig’s 2011 comedy Bridesmaids, a film that somehow manages to be completely ridiculous, genuinely heartfelt and even funnier every time you watch it.

Gather your besties, leave the kids with the fam and come out for a few hours that are entirely your own! From 11:30AM we’ll be pouring mimosas, Egg Club Sandwich will be set up with delish brunch toasties in the lobby, and you’ll have plenty of time to catch up and have a proper Sunday morning with friends before the lights go down at 1PM.

News from The GRAND | After five years as Executive Director, Erynn Lyster is moving on to her next chapter. Erynn has helped guide The GRAND through a period of significant change and renewal, from building new community and artistic partnerships to welcoming new artists and audiences and helping us find new ways to honour the theatre’s history. We’re incredibly grateful for her leadership and all she has contributed to The GRAND.

Stepping into the role is Calgary playwright, producer and longtime GRAND collaborator Neil Fleming. Neil knows this building from just about every angle; as a producer, scenic designer, production manager and arts administrator, and previously spent four years as Executive Director of Making Treaty 7 Cultural Society, working closely with The GRAND and our team. We’re excited to welcome Neil into this new chapter and to see where his experience, curiosity and commitment to Calgary’s diverse arts community take us.

At the heart of it, The GRAND remains what it has always been: a place for artists to take risks, audiences to discover something new, and our community to come together. He look forward to seeing you soon!
