What countertop edge should you choose for your kitchen?
The right countertop edge depends on the look you want, how the surface will be used, and the style of the cabinetry around it.
An eased edge creates a clean, simple finish that works well in most modern kitchens. A bevel adds a subtle angled detail, while a bullnose gives the countertop a softer, more rounded appearance. A mitered edge can make an island or countertop look thicker and more substantial, and decorative ogee profiles add a more traditional, furniture-inspired finish.
The edge may seem like a small decision, but it changes how the stone looks from every angle.
At Heffner Stoneworks, we help homeowners compare countertop edge profiles, stone thicknesses, finishes, and materials before fabrication, so the final countertop feels right for the entire space.
