UPDATE: Please note the application deadline change.

The Gordon Foundation is partnering with the Land Claims Agreements Coalition (LCAC) for a National Treaty Simulation, January 29-31, 2027, at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, Quebec.

Each LCAC Nation/Organization is able to bring up to two participants. If you want to attend on behalf of Carcross/Tagish First Nation, please contact Ashley Carvill by October 28h at [email protected], 867-821-4251 ext 8284.

The National Treaty Simulation is a hands-on experience that brings together emerging Indigenous leaders to learn about Land Claims Agreements and self-government. Through the guidance of advisors, participants experience what it is like to negotiate and implement an agreement while building skills and growing a network for future support.

Following the Treaty Simulation is the LCAC National Conference, February 1-3, 2027. During the conference, there will be an Emerging Leaders Caucus, with sessions on hot topics around Land Claims and other Agreements. Participants will leave with the networks, skills, and knowledge needed to continue participating in their Agreements at home.

Participants of the Treaty Simulation are highly encouraged to register for the conference and attend the Caucus sessions.
