Carleton Place Community Labyrinth Who are we? TLC is a sub- committee of the Carleton Place in Bloom committee, a committee of council. Debby Lytle, Chair
The Labyrinth Committee (TLC) is a group of volunteers all with a keen interest in establishing a permanent labyrinth within our community. Our introduction to labyrinths came about when a number of us attended a Carleton Place and District Horticultural Society meeting and listened to , “Lessons from the Labyrinth” a presentation by Jenny Anderson, a local horticulturalist and labyrinth builder. Inspired by the opportunity to create a unique public space for passive recreation, meditation and community events our enthusiasm about the project grew. Further encouraged by CPIB chair, and councillor Wendy LeBlanc our group came together from standing members of CPiB and other interested volunteers. Our first meeting was held in April of 2008.
“Walk the Path” has become a phase used by our committee over the past three years as we continued to work towards creating the permanent labyrinth and gardens. We truly believed it could happen!

What a peaceful and beautiful morning to add some additional plants to the gardens at Carleton Place Community Labyrinth - some more yellow fall colour! 💛🪴

It was a beautiful day to plant more perennials at the Carleton Place Community Labyrinth. We added Coral Bells (various colours of foliage) and Brunera to the gardens. Also enjoyed seeing the Dahlia garden (thanks to The Dahlia Darling for this part of the garden) 💖

A wonderful opportunity to learn about and buy native plants to add to your garden - this Saturday September 5th 🌻🙂
Native Plants Garden Tour and Giveaway/Sale, September 5, from 1-4, at 66 Queen Street in Carleton Place. More than 65 species of plants. Plants are free to CPDHS members. There will be a small charge of $2.00 for seedlings and $5.00 for larger plants, or you may choose to sign up as a new member ($15.00/annually). Memberships will be available on Saturday.
