🎓 COULD A $10 TRANSIT PASS MAKE THE SCHOOL YEAR A LITTLE EASIER?

Getting to class from rural PEI can become expensive quickly when gas, parking and vehicle costs are added together.

For some Island students, Transit PEI may offer a much more affordable option: post-secondary students can purchase a rural transit pass for just $10 per month.

Individual trips are also available for $2.

The weekday service connects rural communities across PEI with Charlottetown, Summerside, Georgetown and other regional centres. Trips should be reserved at least three hours before departure, but students can book up to 30 days ahead or arrange recurring reservations around a regular class schedule.

Full-time UPEI students already have access to the T3 Transit network through the U-Pass included with tuition.

The schedule may not work for every student, but at this price, it is certainly worth checking. Please share this with an Island student or family who may not realize the option is available. 🚌
