Mark here :) Bit of info: For British expats that worked and paid contributions in the UK. You can now check your National Insurance contributions, and pension entitlement online by (1) visiting www.gov.uk and signing up, then (2) downloading the app (gov.uk id check) and connecting it to your account. If you have a UK passport and a smartphone it takes 5 minutes. If not then you can send them an email with proof of identity, and they'll help you out.

I left when I was 28, and I have a bit tucked away. Mind you, the CRA will be waiting for some of it. You can't escape death and taxes ;) Happy New Year x
