Congratulations to our Tanner & Co. Brewing
Our next chapter takes us down the shore to Liverpool! 🍻
Peggy and I are excited to announce that we’ve acquired Hell Bay Brewing Co., welcoming another South Shore brewery into the Tanner & Co. Brewing family.
Since starting Tanner & Co. in Chester Basin in 2017, your support has helped us grow, open our Duke Street Taproom in Chester, and keep exploring new beers and ideas. We’re grateful to be taking this next step with you.
This move also has a personal connection for me. Having lived and worked in Liverpool for many years, it’s a community that has played an important part in my life. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with familiar faces and being part of the town’s day-to-day life again.
Hell Bay will remain Hell Bay, keeping its name, its Liverpool roots, and its own lineup of beers. We’ll be bringing Tanner & Co. beers to the Hell Bay taps alongside their favourites, investing in the brewery, and making improvements to the taproom over the coming months.
We want to offer our sincere thanks to Mark and Melanie for the years of hard work, dedication, and heart they’ve put into Hell Bay. They’ve built a proud local brand and a gathering place that means a great deal to its community. As one of Nova Scotia’s longest-standing craft breweries, Hell Bay has a history worth celebrating, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to carry it forward.
To Hell Bay’s staff, regulars, and customers, we look forward to getting to know you. And to everyone who has supported Tanner & Co. along the way, thank you for helping make this possible.
You now have another spot to visit along the South Shore. Stop by Hell Bay when you’re in Liverpool, come say hello, and join us for a pint!
Cheers,
Dan & Peggy
