“Secrets” Pastel on 8x9” Canson Velvet

I forgot to post this more focused work. “Lilacs in the Quiet Light” 11x14 pastel on Canson Velvet. This was so zen to work on and I feel like through it I finally captured my vision of the lilacs that hold such strong memories my parents and the past.

I’ve always wanted to say this, I went to Paris and bought some Henri Roche pastels. They are like jewels and I am super enjoying the new direction they are taking me in. “Patio View” 5x7 and “Lupins on the Hill” 4x6 (because John wouldn’t let me cut them to put them in a vase. Lol. Both at Arts on Main Gallery this weekend.

I will be dropping off this little cutie, “Lilacs on Orange” at Arts on Main in Picton today for our “Colour and Mood” show on now in the backroom.
