Well that took long enough! Built this cedar gate with some of the nicest 2x6s I’ve ever scored. Joined with biscuits and Tightbond 3. Back side has a rebate carved into the 2x6 framework to accept the t+g boards and the 1x4 balustrade top.

1924 map of Courtenay when my great grandfather George Smart ran Smart’s Quality Meats near the corner of 5th and Cliffe. Pretty sure it’s where the Benjamin Moore stands today.
