Foggy Mountain Fall Fair welcomes fall on Sunday September 20th!
Cumberland's Foggy Mountain Fall Fair is back on Sunday September 20th, in the sweet little Village of Cumberland! Join us for the day-long street market complete with over 85 amazing artisan vendors, Live Typewriter Poetry, merchant specials, Honey Grove Farm heritage apple sales, live music, harvest games, a Zucchini Car Race, Taoist Tai Chi demo, Cumberland Museum open house (by donation all day long), Comox Valley Farmers Market, a Lord of the Gourd and Harvest Bloom displays, and the infamous Cumberland Pie of the Year Contest.
The Foggy Mountain Fall Fair runs from 10 am to 4 pm between 3rd and 1st street, in front of the Museum and Cultural Center and with live music in a grassy field next to the Waverley.
This annual celebration of the turning season welcomes residents and visitors from across the Valley! Be sure to stop in at the Cumberland Cultural Center between 1 and 3:30 to cast your vote for People's Choice for the Pie of the Year and then come back at 4 pm for the Pie Spectacle with music, judging and tasting! 100% of proceeds from the Pie of the year Contest supports the work of the Cumberland Forest.
Music is also always at the heart of the Foggy Mountain Fall Fair. Performers include Stefan Nadon, Rowan Klassen, Tereza Tomek & Kazimea Sokil, The Awakeners, Back Porch Banjo and the Craig Freeman Fiddlers
Be sure to stop by and visit with local non profits who bring so much to community life. Check out the regional bounty at the Comox Valley Farmers Market from 10-1 in Village Square. Pop into local pubs, cafes and breweries for delicious food and drink. Go shopping and explore the unique merchants who call the Village home. Create a harvest bouquet from your garden and share it for silent auction! Or build a zucchini car and race for prizes with the Vancouver Island Regional Library.

Just in case anyone hasnāt seen this list in awhile- or ever - itās been recently updated. Comox Valley now boasts not only a large variety of AA and NA meetings but also has CA (co***ne anonymous), CODA (codependency anonymous) and GA (gamblers anonymous) as well as a plethora of other recovery style meetings to choose from, every single day!
Hey CV and CR Peeps - The only thing Iāve heard of thatās happening for NYE this year is the night owl meeting behind the Alano in Courtenay (opens at 9pm) is staying open to celebrate there - and I am grateful that that is at least happening!
IF theres enough people interested - I could rearrange my place a bit and offer to host a potluck/adult games NYE party at my house in Comox.
Let me know if your interested in coming here for sure on NYE - OR let me know if you hear of anything else happening because I keep getting asked by peeps and would love to have more options to share with them ā¤ļø
