Tight hip flexors can affect more than just how your hips feel.

Your hip flexors help with walking, standing, stairs, and everyday movement. When they feel tight or don’t move well, you may notice:

➡️ Stiffness when standing up after sitting
Your hips may feel restricted and need a few steps before they “open up.”

➡️ A shorter or less smooth walking stride
Limited hip extension can make your stride feel less natural.

➡️ Your lower back working harder
Your body may compensate by moving or arching more through your lower back.

➡️ Stairs and hills feeling more demanding
Your hips need both mobility and strength to control each step.

➡️ Restricted lunges and split squats
You may feel pulling, stiffness, or pinching at the front of the hip.

And here’s the important part: a hip that feels tight doesn’t always need more stretching.

Strength, mobility, control, and how much time you spend sitting can all affect how your hips move.

Instead of automatically stretching more, consider why the hip feels restricted in the first place.

Ever notice that your heels lift during a squat, your squats feel awkward, or your knees and hips seem to do extra work?

Your ankle mobility could be part of the picture.

Limited ankle movement can affect how your knees, hips, and entire lower body move during squats, lunges, stairs, and running.

👉 Swipe through to see how your ankle mobility may be affecting the rest of your movement.

🔖 Save this for your next workout and send it to someone whose heels always come up during squats.

Patiently waiting for the people who keep saying, “It’ll probably go away on its own,” to find our page. 👀😂

Because sometimes waiting it out isn’t the only option.

If it keeps bothering you, it may be worth finding out why.

Stop chasing perfect posture.

Even the “perfect” position can become uncomfortable when you hold it for too long.

Your body needs movement and variety.

✔️ Sit
✔️ Stand
✔️ Walk
✔️ Stretch
✔️ Shift positions

And build strength along the way. A stronger back, core, and hips can help you handle different positions and everyday activities.

Focus less on staying perfectly still and more on staying strong, comfortable, and adaptable.

Because sometimes, your best posture is simply your next one.

Your core does a lot more than crunches. 👀

In this reel, we’re looking at three everyday movements where your core is working behind the scenes:

🛏️ Getting out of bed
🛍️ Carrying groceries
🪑 Getting up from a chair

A strong core isn’t just about crunches. It’s about helping keep your trunk controlled and stable while you move through everyday life.

Watch the reel and see how often your core is quietly doing the work.

Pain is more than an injury.

Your nervous system, sleep, stress levels, previous experiences, and emotional state can all influence how pain is experienced.

So when pain sticks around, the answer isn’t always to keep treating the same painful spot.

Sometimes, you need to look at the bigger picture.

Swipe through to see why. 👀

If you’ve been dealing with persistent pain and aren’t sure what’s keeping it going, book an assessment and let’s take a closer look.

Your body doesn't move in isolated parts.

When one joint is restricted or weak, the rest of the chain has to compensate, which is why your knee pain might not actually start at your knee.

Physiotherapy looks at the whole chain, not just where it hurts.

The sore spot isn't always the whole story. 👀
