A sunroom you can’t sit in all summer.
This one in Delta had a corrugated aluminum top and glass walls. In Kevin’s words, it was nothing but heat: a room the family paid for and could not use for exactly the months it was built for.
This is episode 1 of the rebuild. The sunroom comes down and a permitted addition goes up in its place, one you can sit in every day of the year.

Same fridge. Same three stools. Two completely different kitchens.
This is one plan from The Design Collection, drawn in-house by our senior designer, Taylor. It starts as a pencil sketch - where the fridge sits, how many stools fit at the island - then becomes a scaled floor plan, cabinet elevations, and a material palette chosen as a set rather than one finish at a time.
The same plan is then rendered two ways. Berlin is deep green, walnut and stainless. Milan is mustard, teal and terrazzo. Look at the fridge and the three stools in each: identical. Everything else changed.
That is the point of designing before building. Changing your mind on paper takes an afternoon. Changing it after the cabinets are installed does not.
Designed in-house. Built by CoreVal Homes, Coquitlam BC.

Your kids may not need to buy land. Their future home may already fit in your backyard.
In Burnaby, one family used the land they already owned to create a home for the next generation, while keeping family close.
That is the practical promise of thoughtful infill: more housing, better use of an existing lot, and long-term flexibility for the people who live there.

Most older Vancouver homes are hiding square footage the family never actually gets to use.
This major home renovation in Vancouver reworked an older house inside and out: third-floor planning, a reconfigured main floor, an opened-up kitchen, and a full exterior rebuild. The goal was not new finishes. It was space that works.

Exterior is on at this Coquitlam custom build — black trim, white soffit and gutters, and the double overhead door.
One detail we really like: the split landing off the parking pad. You can set the groceries down at waist height instead of hauling them up a full flight — it takes some of the steps out of the equation.
One of the largest laneway homes under construction in Burnaby right now. We kept it to a shed roof style to work within the height restrictions, with a balcony up top. There were BC Hydro power lines and a transformer to design around — the City permitted the sun deck to shift back so the two buildings could sit closer together.

Everyone wants to hire the finished carpenter. Almost nobody wants to train one.
We're doing the opposite.
CoreVal Homes is hiring a 1st Year Carpenter Apprentice / General Labourer — someone who shows up on time, works hard, and wants to learn the trade instead of just collecting a paycheque.
What you bring:
A strong work ethic, solid physical fitness, respect for the crew, a valid BC Driver's Licence, and legal authorization to work in Canada. Residential construction experience helps — attitude matters more.
What we bring:
$24–$28/hour depending on experience. Full-time, year-round work with overtime available. Hands-on mentorship from tradespeople who actually teach. And a clear path into skilled carpentry, site supervision, and project management.
All work performed to BC Building Code standards. Full PPE and site safety training provided.
Based in Greater Vancouver.
