Started with Zia in 2014, made an emo Tinkerbell dress for my costume grad in 2019, burned out, stopped for 4 years, came back and built more — including Zia v2.0 on the cover.

Some fit, some don’t, some reuse pieces. All made in Montreal.

I’ve finally cosplayed as Zia on a Sunday at Otakuthon 12 years later. 😅

For those who don’t know, my first ever cosplayed was Zia in 2014. Unfortunately, after near 2 days at Otakuthon, I got food poisoning. It was a severe case and I couldn’t attend Otakuthon on the third day. Not only my cosplay was stained, I’ve since then gained weight. My cosplay was anyway a piece of crap since I didn’t know how to sew. Luckily, I had an opportunity to remake the cosplay with my now sewing standards back in March 2026 for an event. So, why not wear it to Otakuthon 2026 too?

Surprisely, from my 3 costumes this weekend, Zia was the most photographed. And I previously thought no one would recognize the character.

Day 2 at Otakuthon.

I’m so happy to have finally cosplayed as Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh! When I started cosplaying back in 2014, it was one of my cosplans. Finding a duel disk at a good price ended to be a difficult task. Can you believe the duel disk is expensive as crazy? It’s just a toy! It became a collectable item and a rare one. I was lucky enough last year to get a used one at a very good price.

I had the wig for years. I’ve trifted clothes for the look. And bought a 3d printed Millenium ring. This one, I had accidentally broke it while priming it. I’m so relieved to have get in a rush new replacement pieces.

Tokito Muichiro at Otakuthon day 1.

First time wearing this costume all afternoon. I’m so glad I have managed to bring Tokito Muichiro from Demon Slayer to life within only a month.

The costume pattern is based on the Demon Slayer uniform pattern from Boutique 𝙉𝘿𝙇𝙒𝙍𝙆𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥. I have modified it to my needs. I assume that my sewing technics were not the best this time, but I have rushed the costume to be ready for Otakuthon. It needs improvements, I know. But I’m still happy how it came out even with all its flaws.

Wig was styled by me. Wig, katana, sheath, belt, tabi and shoes are all from Amazon.

Batman and Robin photoshoot.

Funny fact: While we were doing the photoshoot, they were some people parked under the bridge. It was late at night. They were probably drug dealers. They saw us and one of them put on the song from Batman the tv show from the 1960s. At first, we thought it was coming from Tommy’s phone. But then, we realized it was coming from the guys who were watching us. We started laughing. Tommy wanted to record the moment. Unfortunately, a train passed by and scrapped the audio.
