🚗 First time buying a vehicle on Vancouver Island?

Don’t do anything before you message me.

Seriously.

If you were a family member buying your first vehicle, here’s exactly what I’d tell you:

I’d help you figure out what vehicle actually makes sense for what you need.

Not just the vehicle you like — the one that fits your budget, lifestyle and what you actually use it for.

I’d tell you:

✅ What questions to ask
✅ What to look out for
✅ What not to worry about
✅ What red flags to watch for
✅ Whether the timing actually makes sense
✅ What I’d be looking at before signing anything

And if the answer is “I’d wait”?

I’ll tell you that too.

No pitch.
No agenda.
No pressure.

Just how I’d do it if I were helping someone in my own family.

If you’re buying your first vehicle on Vancouver Island:

👇 COMMENT “HELP”
or
📩 DM me “HELP”

Let’s make sure you know what you’re doing before you make a big purchase.

🚨 This week is the end of the month.

So if you’ve been sitting around, waiting to make a decision…

This could be your window.

Here’s what actually happens at the end of the month:

Dealerships and salespeople have targets to hit.

Buyers also have their own timelines — and if you’re already planning to buy, the last few days of the month can sometimes create an opportunity that wasn’t there earlier in the month.

When a dealership is working toward its new-vehicle target, getting another deal completed can become more important as the deadline gets closer.

That can mean there’s more motivation to put a deal together — including looking harder at the numbers, structuring the deal differently, or finding opportunities around your trade.

So imagine this:

Last week…

We were $500 apart.

This week?

Maybe we find a way to get it done.

Not every deal magically gets better because it’s month-end — but if you’re already planning to buy or sell, timing can matter.

🚗 Don’t just sit on the decision. Let’s look at the numbers.

DM me “INFO” or tap the link in my bio and choose BUY or SELL to get started.

🚨 One of the biggest mistakes you can make when buying a car?

Telling the salesperson:

“I need to be around $600 bi-weekly.”

You may have just given them the number they need to work backwards from.

Because almost any vehicle can be made to fit a payment…

$600 bi-weekly on a $60,000 vehicle?

You could potentially stretch the term, adjust the financing structure and make the payment look like what you asked for.

But that doesn’t mean you got a $600 vehicle.

You bought a $60,000 vehicle.

And depending on the rate and term, you could end up paying tens of thousands in interest on top of the vehicle price.

💡 The payment is the result — it shouldn’t be the starting point.

Start with:

What can I actually afford?
What is my trade worth?
What vehicle do I actually need?
What is the total cost?
What financing structure makes sense?

Then work backwards to the payment.

If you’re buying or selling a vehicle on Vancouver Island and want help figuring out the numbers before you walk into a dealership:
